Granite seems as if it were made for the traditional countertop. With hundreds of natural stones to pick from, none are actually the same. It is possible to choose a completely different granite for the island. There are a multitude of different profiles that can be used for the egde adding to the detailed accents in the cabinets.
Thicknesses range from 1" up to 2-3/4" inches, the front edge is laminated granite epoxied together. 1-1/4" slabs are available.
These tops require to be sealed once a year in order to preserve the shine and ageless beauty.
